Zoning out!

Our grounds project took another step forward this half term with continued development of our woodland zone.  Another 130 tree and hedgerow saplings have been planted by the class 3 children during their outdoor learning sessions.

The saplings, donated by the Woodland Trust have helped to form a clear boundary line to separate the woodland zone from the main field.  Entrance to the woodland zone will be through a willow tunnel, due to be created in February / March.

As we look forward into next year, our imminent plan is to create raised vegetable beds, a plastic bottle greenhouse and composting facilities in preparation to start growing in the spring.

Thanks for everyone’s help, support  and donations of materials to the grounds project.

Look out for our new fund raising venture in the new year involving a GB Paralympic athlete!

Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.
