London 19

I had a few requests to re-post all of the photos from our London trip a few weeks ago, so thought I would do this before the end of the term…

Day 1 included:

Gathering at Tiverton Parkway, Paddington @Paddington, Kensington Gardens, Albert Memorial and Westminster Palace. Later we had a meal before the fabulous Lion King.

Day 2 included:

The science museum, London Eye and river trip followed by Street Performers at Covent Garden. An amazing adventure was completed by our train journey back to Parkway. An amazing 2 days with an amazing group of children.

North Devon Tag Rugby

What a day we had on Tuesday. It was hot. Very hot. However, this did not hold our intrepid Federation Team back as our crew of nine met over twenty other schools from across North Devon in the area tournament. We preformed brilliantly in our pool, qualifying for the knockout cup and plate stages in the afternoon (we won two games really well and only lost narrowly to some excellent teams). After a kicking competition over lunch we then entered the knockouts and gave a great account of ourselves. Our team, although eventually defeated, scored great tries in every game and always had a chance. Well done everyone. Great day.

Harriet & Bob Reach New Heights!

We very much like to celebrate the amazing achievements of our children whether in school or beyond. Here are some great examples of working together to beat a challenge, featuring our very own Harriet and Bob her pony. Harriet has sent us several pictures of her taking part in events at venues such as Coxley Barton and has included some of the rosettes that she has won. Harriet is a keen rider and has taken on different jump heights with Bob. It has been great to hear how she has worked with Bob and they have developed their relationship over recent times. Well done Harriet. We are very proud of you (and Bob) and we love to see how well you are both doing!

If you would like us to publicise your achievements, please send the story and photos to news@exmoorlink.org

Heatree 19 Day 1

Well folks, we have arrived all safe and sound.

After a very exciting scramble at Hound Tor we landed at the activity centre here on the crown of Dartmoor. It has been a little breezy but we all settled in really well and after lunch tackled the High Rope activities including: the Vines, High Wire, Crate Challenge, Jacob’s Ladder and Rope Circuit. We enjoyed a fab dinner (after settling into rooms) and after diaries have enjoyed traditional charades. More tomorrow…

Jessica is off to Bicton!

These amazing, all action photos are of our very own Jessica at an event over half term. She was competing for the first time on her own, on her pony Lily. She came 3rd in the showjumping so she has qualified for the mini championships for the south west at Bicton in August. Well done Jess. Amazing! (Thanks to Nicole for the photos). If you have some photos and a story that you would like to share, send direct to Mr Gurney (head@exmoorlink.org) for publishing.
