Planning ahead!

We are very fortunate to have our own pre-school here at Bishops Nympton School.  Our pre-school children meet up with our Reception children on a weekly basis for Leap into Life sessions on the school playground or in the hall during bad weather, which really helps with transition into school in September, as children are used to coming into school and know the school staff and children really well.

With our thoughts already turning to our new September intake, we are able to increase the time we spend together with a view to settling children into school, so that the transition is as seamless as possible.  With this in mind our new September intake will now be spending alternate Monday and Tuesday afternoons with us in small groups.  The first session happened this week and the children really enjoyed their time within the Reception class.
