Pre-School Fire Crew

As you all know we have been learning about People who help us and different occupations. This week the children have really enjoyed making their own fire engine and even becoming the fire crew! This was our last day learning about occupations, the children have loved this topic and enjoyed the other parents in talking about their jobs.

Over the next few weeks we will be learning about sounds and rhymes, we will be exploring different musical instruments and the way that the sounds can change. Alongside this we will be learning about rhyme in songs and spoken words. If any parents can play an instrument we would love to welcome you to come in and play to the children.

Intra House Sports competition

Our 2018 sporting calendar kicked off with our year 5 / 6 Intra house football competition.  With the snow cleared, a very soggy Bish Nym football pitch welcomed our 4 house teams back into the competitive spirit.

The games were played with a focus on fair play and it was great to see that despite the obvious desire to win, the players were still able to play with honesty and integrity.  Amber were clear winners, winning all of their games. Well done to them.  Final standings were as follows:  Amber 9 points; Sapphire 4 points; Emerald 2 points; Ruby 1 point

Sports Shields standings:

Amber – 60points

         Emerald – 40 points            Sapphire – 40 points

Ruby 35 points

Sports completed: Cross Country, Netball, Indoor athletics, Football.

Back to School!

So following our snow closure we are back in today (Monday). This is a normal day – we were planning for some children to attend Anstey this morning for some singing but with the snow we did not really get to organise this, so this has been rescheduled for Monday the 19th (more on this to come if your children are involved). Hope you all had a good weekend and see you later.
